Privacy Policy

Your privacy is guaranteed. SolaKit is engineered from the ground up as a 100% local-first application. Your photos, scanned documents, cutouts, and creative media never leave your device.

1. 100% On-Device AI Processing

Unlike cloud-dependent photo editing services, all machine learning inference — including AI Background Removal, Magic Editor segmentation, OCR document text extraction, and Celestial Star Map astronomical calculations — runs 100% locally on your smartphone. No photo or document data is ever transmitted to any server.

2. Data We Collect & How We Use It

• Photos & Media Files: Processed entirely in local device memory. We do not operate remote photo servers, image storage databases, or cloud processing pipelines.
• Account Data: Sign-in is handled via Google Sign-In We store your name, email address, subscription/plan status, and in-app token/coin balance on our servers to sync your account across devices and reinstalls.
• In-App Purchases: Managed securely via Google Play Billing. All financial details are handled exclusively by Google Play and are never visible to us.
• Location (Star Map only): If you use the Celestial Star Map feature, you may optionally grant location access. This is used solely on-device to calculate star positions for your coordinates and is never transmitted to our servers.

3. Advertising

Free-tier users see ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to serve contextual ads. You can opt out of personalised ads at any time via your device's Google settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation). Paid subscribers see no ads. We do not sell your personal data to advertisers.

4. Analytics & Diagnostics

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous operational metrics such as app launches, feature usage frequency, and crash reports. No photo data, document text, or personal file contents are ever transmitted or tracked. Analytics data is aggregated and cannot identify you individually.

5. Third-Party Services

SolaKit integrates the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config)
• Google AdMob (advertising for free-tier users)

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion

Because your media files remain on your device, you retain absolute ownership and control. You can request full account deletion at any time directly within the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or via our contact page. All server-side data — including your name, email, subscription status, and token balance — is permanently deleted within 7 business days. Anonymised crash logs and billing records may be retained as required by applicable law.

7. Children's Privacy

SolaKit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at contact@iowave.in and we will promptly delete it.

8. Policy Updates & Contact
